We all know the old adage that “You can’t out-train a bad diet”
Dronfield Running Club is delighted to announce that we have teamed up with Jon Hodgkinson of Real Food Func who will be on hand to offer our members support and guidance on all thing’s nutrition.
Jon is a fully qualified nutritionist based in Dronfield with over a decade of experience in sports science, personal training and coaching. He has a proven track record of working with athletes across a broad range of disciplines from enthusiastic amateurs right through to those competing at a high standard of competition.
Jon’s approach to nutrition is very pragmatic. He steers well clear of the fad diets and pseudo-science, cutting through the waffle and big brand marketing and placing the focus very much on fresh, real food.
Jon will be offering periodic, free to attend, online seminars to DRC members to talk through his diet and nutrition strategies with a focus on athletic performance and recovery as well as general wellbeing, health and weight management.
He will also be posting on the club Facebook group from time to time and will make himself accessible to members as a sounding board on all things nutrition.
We hope all of our members find Jon’s advice and input useful and if anyone feels they would benefit from delving further into the world of nutrition then Jon offers his services on a 1-2-1 basis outboard of the work he does with DRC.
