SEPT 2022 - Becky Hansen of Dronfield RC wins Altringham 10k in a time of 00:37:43

AUG 2022 - Tom Shaw of Dronfield RC wins the Askern 10k in a time of 00:31:48

JULY 2022 - Ben Clithero completes the Montane Lakeland 100 mile race in a time of 37:59:56

JUNE 2022 - Collete Gains of Dronfield RC wins the Three Lakes Classic in a time of 01:40:19

 

JUNE 2022 - Simon Bayliss, Oli Harrison and Ben Clithero completed an 'Everesting' attempt of Win Hill in Derbyshire. Climbing and descending a total of 30 times to traverse the equivalent of climbing Mount Everest in under 24hrs.

MAY 2022 - Hannah Walker of Dronfield RC wins The Rotherham 10k in a time of 00:38:01

 

MARCH 2022 - Chris Bevan of Dronfield RC wins The Monsal Trail Half Marathon in a time of 01:14:39

JANUARY 2022 - Michael Kenyon of Dronfield RC wins the Tigger Tor fell race, setting a new course record of 01:07:19 in the process.

2021.

NOVEMBER 2021 - Dronfield RC are awarded Runners Up in The England Athletics club of the year (East Midlands). The award is described by England Athletics as;


"Recognising the achievements of a club, as well as demonstrating ongoing commitment and passion through the opportunities they have given to everyone involved in the club over the last 12 months."

OCTOBER 2021 - Tom Shaw of Dronfield RC wins the inaugural Redbrick Foundation Chesterfield 10k with a time of 00:33:32

SEPTEMBER 2021 - Oliver Harrison of DRC completed the 2021 Montane Dragons Back Race in Wales.


An incredibly tough 6 day mountain race averaging 63km a day and 2900m of ascent. In total 380km in length with 17,400m of climb.


Each day has various cut offs. Most runners find themselves leaving camp early in the morning in a quest to hopefully be back before the days final cut off at 10pm.


367 people started the race and Olly was one of only 90 who would complete the full 6 days, with some not even making the start line and over 100 competitors timing out or not finishing on day one!

 

JANUARY 2021 - Dronfield Running Club qualified for Round 2 of the England Athletics Virtual Road Relays with an overall time of 3:54:28 – finishing in 15th place nationally.
