WELFARE & SAFEGUARDING.
Safeguarding our members, and looking after their welfare, is central to the ethos of Dronfield Running Club.
Should you ever have any concerns about anything club related, or in relation to a member, please do not hesitate to contact the welfare team, Tom Briddock and Karen Read.
Tom and Karen can be approached in complete confidence at club runs, through Facebook or WhatsApp, or on the following email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
Only Tom and Karen have access to this email address and any complaints or concerns will be dealt with using the guidelines set out by UK Athletics.
Dronfield RC adopts all the UK Athletics Safeguarding Policies & Procedures, which can be found here
The role of our Mental Health Champions is to support our members to access the mental wellbeing benefits of running, remove stigma and get people talking about mental health.
Our champions are not mental health professionals but they are supportive, approachable and non judgmental and will signpost and assist our members in sourcing professional support with their mental health.
If you are experiencing any mental health issues or believe any of our members to be struggling with their mental health, you can speak to the Welfare team in total confidence.
