England Athletics Affiliation

We did it.

It is with a huge amount of pride that we can formally announce that we have achieved affiliation with England Athletics and Dronfield Running Club is born.

It has taken an immense amount of work to get us to this point and as a committee, we owe a lot of thank you’s – specifically to the club officers and our sponsors who’ve offered up the cash to get us off the ground but also to everyone who believed in our dream and joined us along the way on social media, group runs and our solo virtual challenges. We had the idea, you all made it possible.

However, this is just the beginning. We have a lot more work to do and we shall be opening memberships imminently.

We want to build on what is already a vibrant, inclusive, friendly and supportive community of runners that represent everything that DRC is. Whenever it may be, we cannot wait to see a clutch of white, black and red vests lined up at races across the country.
